Marble Mountains are located about 8 km southeast of Da Nang city center in Hoa Khue village, Son Thuy hamlet, Hoa Vang district, Ngu Hanh Son district. Marble Mountains is the convergence of the sea, the charming country with profound historical, cultural and spiritual values.
Legend has it that once upon a time this land was a desolate wasteland. Then suddenly one day a Dragon who did not know from which direction came here to lay eggs and then disappeared. The Golden Tortoise saw it, showing sand to make dragon's eggs hatch. Incidentally, one day an old fisherman from a boat wrecked from the North drifted over, the Golden Tortoise rescued and brought ashore and called himself the old man Kim Quy, and wanted the old man to protect the drops for himself. This blood of the Dragon Army. The Golden Turtle removed his toenail and handed it to the old man and showed how to protect the dragon's egg.
Thanks to this tortoise's claw, the old fisherman fights off hawks and other wild animals, protecting the dragon's egg. Dragon eggs grew and soon after they hatched an exceptionally beautiful fairy. And the dragon egg shells grew and separated, then became five marble limestone clusters, with 5 different colors, including pink, gray, green, black, yellow and have 6 peaks and exist to this day
Ngu Hanh Son consists of 6 limestone mountains protruding on a coastal sandy beach with an area of about 2 km2. The names of these limestone mountains are: Kim Son, Moc Son, Thuy Son, Hoa Son (with 2 tops) and Tho Son respectively. Each mountain has its own beauty in shape, position, stone material, cave, pagoda. .
These names are named by King Minh Mang according to 5 elements that make up the universe: Kim, Moc, Thuy, Thuy, Hoa and Tho. The number 5 is an extremely important number in thinking and in Eastern life
Kim Son
Kim Son is located in the southeast, on the bank of Co Co river. Immediately after the discovery of the cave (1950), Venerable Thich Phap Nhan extended the entrance to the cave and built Avalokiteshvara temple. The temple leans against Kim Son mountain, facing the river. In the summer, the lotus blooms, giving off a fragrant aroma, dispelling the sultry summer sun.
Every year in the early spring festival season (February 19 of the lunar calendar), the pagoda organizes a festival named Quan Yin.
Right at the foot of Kim Son mountain is a cave over 50m long, nearly 10m wide and about 10-15m high. The entrance to the cave is natural stone steps, inside there are stalactite layers clinging to the cliffs to form the image of Quan Am Bodhisattva as human as a virtuoso art of the ancient artisans.
This stalactite is more vivid thanks to a glistening layer of stalactites like glitter spread from the shoulders to the heel of the statue. Besides, behind the Bodhisattva statue, there is a statue of Thien Tai Dong Tu and on the left is a picture of the bird with its wide spread wings spread across the cave ceiling.

Moc Son
Moc Son is located in the East, close to the sea, near the island of Thuy Son. To the East and South is a sand dune, to the north is a field and to the west is the village.Moc Son is also known as Mouther Mountain, possibly due to the appearance of the mountain resembling a drumstick.
On this mountain there is no temple like the other mountains, but here there is a white marble block that looks like a sitting person.This is probably a natural gift for Moc Son mountain. The locals call this stone Co Gu or Mrs. Quan Am.
At the top of the mountain is 10 meters, there is a large stone that runs across the south. In the mountain, there is a small cave, it is said that there was a woman named Trung tu there in the past, so it was called Mrs. Trung cave.
Thuy Son
Thuy Son is located in the Northeast. Among the mountains, Thuy Son is the largest and also the most beautiful mountain. The mountain is 106m high, stretching from East to West with an area of 15 hectares, with 3 tops on 3 floors like 3 stars (Tam Thai), which means 3 stars form the tail of the cluster of Dai Hung Tinh stars. This is the place where many caves and pagodas are gathered, the most typical one is Non Nuoc Pagoda, which attracts visitors because many temples have been built for a long time, with Thach em cave, and there are two beautiful temples of Tam Thai pagoda. and Linh Ung Pagoda, the way to the mountain made of steps lined.
Visitors who want to visit Linh Ung have to step up to about 108 levels, if coming to Tam Thai pagoda in the south, they have to go beyond the 156-storey-level steps.

Hoa Son
Hoa Son consists of two mountains: The western one near Kim Son is Duong Hoa Son, located on the bank of Co Co River. On the west side of the mountain, facing north, facing Kim Son, there appeared a flailing area on the sand and a 3 large Chinese character was carved into the cliff "Duong Hoa Son".
In Duong Hoa Son mountain, there are caves and Pho Son Da pagoda. On the east side, near the road to Hoi An is Am Hoa Son Son with the ridge of the mountain rising, the ridge has many grains of rock that lie sideways and run horizontally to create slices, the eastern ridge has a rock cave from the southern slope. to the north flank. The trees grow thickly alternately in the rocks.
Tho Son
Tho Son is a mountain located to the north of Kim Son island and to the west of Thuy Son island. This is the lowest but also the longest mountain, like a dragon curled up on the sand. To the west of Tho Son is the Ba Cha river section. The mountain has two floors, heaving rocky blocks on the top, especially on the east side. The northern slope is steeper, with steep, narrow, and low cliffs. The body of the mountain is covered with a thin layer of grass to reveal many places of red clay with many ancient bricks of the Champa period.
On the mountain, there is a door cave facing southwest, deep inside the mountain called Coc cave (Bo De cave). The entrance to the cave is very narrow, just enough one person to pass through. During the two wars against the French and the Americans, officials, soldiers and local people took advantage of the terrain of the Bodhi cave as a natural tunnel, a place against cracking, to hide and secure. On the cliff next to the temple there is a large rock about 30m high shaped almost like the image of Maitreya Buddha. According to Buddhism, Maitreya Buddha is a Lai Buddha preaching at Longhua so the temple is named Long Hoa pagoda. The pagoda is to worship Maitreya in front, behind is higher Buddha Shakyamuni, the two sides are Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara and Jizō.
